Weekend in Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton gardens

Wolverhampton is located in the West Midlands and is a great place to head to check out a football match, visit university friends, or simply attend a concert at one of the many music venues that line the streets. Although the city is not typically referred to as a tourist attraction, it is surprisingly packed full with great activities and scenic sites making it a great semi-remote and untraveled location for planning a weekend away out of the city at a local bed and breakfast. Plus, as the rail station runs frequently from London, Wales, and Scotland into the city transportation in is not a problem.

While in town there are several art galleries that demand a look that are free to the public and a handful of parks such as the Victorian West Park that are fine examples of the local beauty of the town. Historical stops also include the Boscobel House which was used as a hide hour for King Charles II and the Wightwick Manor which was home to the Mander family. If you have the time, attempt to catch a football match, a horse race, or simply a concert at Civic Hall as they are all events that are quite memorable.
