2011 sees the World’s Biggest Coffee morning celebrate its 21st birthday and the event will be taking place on Friday the 30th September. This birthday event is already being predicted as possibly bringing in over £300,000 for the Black Country and Birmingham region alone.
While the 30th September is the official date for the World’s Biggest Coffee morning, you can hold your event at anytime and with anybody. This is along the lines of Children in Need, where many events are held before and after the official day but all monies go towards the fund.
Whether you want to hold a traditional coffee morning or something completely different, such as a pub quiz or garden party, the most important thing is getting people together to have some fun and enjoy the knowledge that every penny made goes towards those people who are affected by cancer, and your support is making a huge difference to their lives.
If you want to hold a coffee morning simply go to www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee and once you have registered you will receive free advice with great hints and tips on successful fund raising and advice on how to make your own coffee morning a great success.
