The West Midlands Blog is all about everyday things in the region.
Over the past decade there has been a great deal of economic development in the West Midlands that has helped move the area into the future as a sustainable economic area with skills programmes and enterprise parks sprouting up and helping the regions in between to prosper. There have been many projects initiated over the last ten years both within the private sector and the public sector helping to bring previous factory and warehouse districts back into the light as prosperous and upcoming cities filled with both history and culture.
Market towns have been a great aid to the economic development of the West Midlands because there has been a large concentration on rural regeneration that has helped to bring visitors and tourists into the area. The creation of regional fairs and festivals celebrating the heritage of the cities and Britain’s rich history has helped bring a large amount of people into the towns boosting the economy even more. Plus, developing areas known for their specialty items has helped to drive new companies that produce the items and created unique mainstays that are now central components of Britain’s economy.
